Siting & Usage Guidance
Place the feeding station in a quiet, sheltered garden area. Line the solid interior floor with fresh newspaper and replace it daily to maintain optimal hygiene and prevent the spread of germs between visiting hedgehogs. Offer shallow dishes of dedicated hedgehog food or plain meat-based cat/dog food alongside fresh water.
Care & Maintenance
Daily Maintenance: Remove uneaten food, replace newspaper lining, and wash food and water bowls daily with hot water.
Annual Retreating: To maintain weather resistance and preserve the timber, treat the exterior once a year using Exterior Danish Oil or Protek Royal Exterior Finish in Golden Pine.
Periodic Deep Cleaning: Wipe down the interior regularly using warm water and a soft sponge. If using a mild detergent for stubborn dirt, rinse thoroughly to ensure no soap residue remains before allowing the station to air dry completely.
